What is waist to hip ratio?
Your Waist to Hip Ratio is a measurement that compares the size of your waist to the size of your hips. You can read a more in-depth explanation here.
Why track it?
People track their Waist to Hip Ratio as it is a good indicator of visceral fat as it measures the proportion of fat stored around the waist of hips. This can help you and your doctor determine your risk of potential health issues.
How is it measured?
It is calculated by dividing your waist measurement by your hip measurement, and Progress can do that for you if you're on Progress Pro. Simply make sure that you’re tracking your hips and your waist as points of measurement, then enable Waist to Hip Ratio under ‘‘What I Track’ on the ‘Me’ tab.
